Rio Grande Theater, Las Cruces

UPDATE: Laura Sullivan, Do?a Ana Arts Council, says that the Rio Grande Theater has come a long way since it was named to the Most Endangered Places List. To date over $325,000 has been raised and the Council signed an agreement with the City of Las Cruces so they can receive their allocation of state funding. If all goes as planned (more funding is expected) they can begin phase one, restoring the fa?ade, in March. Phase one also includes the following improvements: lobby, concession area, caf?, offices, an art gallery, an information center and restrooms. Watch for more reports on this success coming soon.
